This is my Aunt. She was diagnosed with Stage IV Lymphoma Cancer.
I took this photo this past October… but I swear she’s even more beautiful now—she has no hair and lost a lot of weight, but exemplifies a strength like no other.

I was hired to be a photographer at my Mom’s marriage to my stepdad. And by “hired,” I mean: my payment was not getting kicked out of the house.
I was terrified of screwing up and subsequently destroying any chance she had at remembering the happiest day of her life [again]. But despite my difficulties with that dumb lighting, feeling super awkward, and also having to mingle with the people whose faces I was supposed to zoom in on… I had a really fun time. Not hearing my mom’s best friend tell stories about my mom’s first few dates. That part sucked. But I love photography, I love weddings, and I guess I sort of like my mom, too.
Hello, world.
my name is Eunice, and I think I’m cool with a dslr slung on my shoulder. I think I’m even cooler when I talk arrogantly about f-stops and ISOs.
